ADA Dance Company
The ADA Dance Company is the competition program at Academy of Dance Arts — more than a dozen teams from Micro Mini through Senior, training in jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and technique, coached by our faculty, and competing throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois. For dancers who want to train harder, perform more and grow as a team.
What it means to be Company
Company dancers take their level's technique classes — ballet at minimum — plus company classes in their styles, and rehearse choreography for competitions, the recital, community performances and charitable events. They learn to work as a team, to take correction, and to perform under lights.
The program is coordinated by Assistant Director Jacquelin Stern, a former Milwaukee Bucks dancer who grew up in this studio, with companies led by Lindsay Stammer, Britni Fletcher, Amie Ferrante, Rebecca Boldt, Katie Tracy, Marissa Miller and the rest of the faculty. ADA's choreography has earned numerous awards at competitions across eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
It's demanding — several nights a week at the upper levels — but it happens inside the same encouraging, family-style studio as everything else at ADA.

How dancers join
Placement is by audition or teacher invitation before each season, and dancers are grouped by age and level. If your dancer is interested, tell their teacher or call the studio — we'll let you know when the next auditions are and what to prepare.
What to expect
Company dancers commit to weekly company classes on top of technique, additional rehearsals before competitions, competition and costume fees beyond regular tuition, and a season that runs September through the June recital. Full details are shared with families at auditions.
