Our Studio in Brown Deer
Academy of Dance Arts is located at 9036 N. 51st Street in Brown Deer, WI 53223, on Milwaukee's north side. Four dance rooms, a dance boutique right in the building, and a lobby where families have been waiting — and making friends — since 1983.
Four rooms, one busy building
- Grey Studio
- Periwinkle Studio
- Purple Studio
- Blue Studio
Classes run in four studios — the Grey, Periwinkle, Purple and Blue rooms — so a family with a 4-year-old in Creative Dance and a 13-year-old in Amber/Amethyst ballet can often come on the same night. The schedule lists the room for every class.
Our dance boutique is right at the studio: leotards, tights, shorts, skirts, tap shoes, ballet slippers, jazz shoes, lyrical/contemporary shoes and ADA logo gear — everything on the dress code, without a separate trip.

We're in the studio during class hours — leave a message any other time and we'll call you back.

Clean, welcoming, and a little bit home
"The environment is clean and welcoming" is one of the most common lines in our reviews — and the other is some version of "second family." Parents chat in the lobby, older dancers help younger ones find their room, and by the second week most kids are running in the door.
Three times a season we open the studio doors for parent visitation weeks, so you can see exactly what your dancer is learning.
