Academy of Dance Arts is a school devoted to the professional training of students in the art of dance. ADA continuously strives to maintain the professional standards set by its founder Roberta Rehberg-Boorse, who opened the Academy in 1983. Academy of Dance Arts is now owned and has successfully been run by Director Lindsay Stammer since 2000. The Academy employs a diversified group of professional teachers who are fully qualified to provide expert training in a variety of dance styles. ADA offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Pointe, Modern, Lyrical, and conditioning classes.
Britni Fletcher is the Artistic Director of Academy of Dance Arts and holds a degree in Dance and Literature with an emphasis on Diversity from Missouri State University. With over 15 years of experience as both a dancer and educator, Britni has trained extensively in contemporary, modern, ballet, and hip hop. Her choreographic style blends contemporary movement with storytelling, creating meaningful and authentic connections through dance. She is certified in floor barre under Joel Hall and has produced original dance films showcased across several states, including Missouri, Texas, and Wisconsin. Passionate about fostering artistry and inclusion, Britni continues to inspire dancers through her leadership, choreography, and teaching.
“The Milwaukee Dance Connection” under the artistic direction of Allyne D. Gartrell. She continued on to study dance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she graduated with her B.F.A in Dance under the tutelage of Ed Burgess, Simone Ferro, Janet Lily, Andre Tyson, Dani Kuepper, Elizabeth Johnson, Luc Vanier, Deb Lowen, Marcia Parsons, Ferne Yangyeitie Caulker-Bronson, Darci Brown Wutz, and Lisa Moberly. During her time at UWM, she created numerous pieces of work for dance composition classes, in which she participated, as well as her performances in the Summer Dances of 2012, including Luc Vanier’s piece “Bob's Palace”. In the summer of that same year, she also worked with Luc Vanier and other dancers to help create and perform “Somatohphobia.” Throughout her dance career, she has studied a vast array of dance styles, including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, African, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and some basic Ballroom. She has been in, choreographed/assisted with choreography, and worked on makeup design in numerous musicals performed in the Milwaukee area at the high school level and the community theater level. She has taught at various studios in Wisconsin and Illinois, and master classes for dance conventions. She also has taught for Mad Hot Tap and Ballroom with Danceworks. Alisa Ferrante has a master's in education with a K-9 regular ed teaching certification through Alverno in partnership with MPS. She is currently a teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools during the day, and at night and weekends she teaches at Academy of Dance Arts in Brown Deer, Studio oXo in Racine, and choreographs and designs makeup for the musicals for Cedarburg High School. Dance is a huge part of her life, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
