Based in Chicago, Illinois, Katie Tracy, 22, is a dancer and choreographer seeking to reinstate artistry and passion as the focal points of dance expression and performance. Katie Tracy is a 2022 Hope College graduate, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography, as well as Dance Pedagogy and Classical Studies minors. Focusing highly on dance education, theory, history and culture, Katie continues to spread her passion for dance performance and development at any opportunity. From 2019-2021 she performed for H2 Dance Company, learning closely with choreographers such as Matthew Farmer, Crystal Frazier, Sharon Wong, and Jasmine Mejia.

Katie Tracy has been a featured soloist in performance including Matthew Farmer's rendition of Firebird Suite, Kristen Farmer's Elan Vital, and Hanna Bricston's Quiet the Echos during her time with the company. Encountering both in live dance performances as well as adapted dance films, Katie has experienced an array of dance environments.

She seeks to provide other young performers with unique movement and performance spaces, expanding versatility and adaptability. Katie values true passion and endurance, consistently returning to these roots as both a performer and instructor.
